Happy month-iversary to us! It's been a lovely two months.
We are glad to be married. :)
The happy couple enjoying their CAKE!Tomorrow, in celebration, we are going to cook a delicious supper together and eat some of our wedding souvenir cake! We just could not bring ourselves to wait an entire year, knowing that our delicious cake would not be too tasty after freezing for a year. So we are going for the two-month mark for now. Maybe we'll keep eating some every month? :)
So... guess what??? I JUST SUBMITTED THE THIRD AND LAST SECTION OF MY THESIS!! My mentor will hopefully give me comments a.s.a.p. and think that I am all sorts of scientific and brilliant. Ha! I still have to work on the revisions of the sections that she already reviewed, but that seems like a walk in the park at this point. I AM SO HAPPY TO BE ALMOST DONE!! Getting a little nervous about my oral exams which are in a little over a month (Lord willing, if my thesis gets accepted), but no more thesis-writing for me. Woo hoo!
I have already been planning all the lovely things that I hope to do this weekend while my mentor is reviewing my thesis. First on the list is to finish our wedding "thank you" cards!! I cannot believe I am still working on these (actually, I can), but I am getting excited about finishing off that detail as well. I also think I will straighten up the house, do some laundry, and get the guest room ready for Jess Lyle to come visit in a week or so! The first live-in guest at the Belmont Hotel. It's going to be fabulous.
Well, I guess I should get to work. The light at the end of the tunnel is starting to make me feel like I'm already done, which is not true. Thank you all for your prayers and encouraging words! I hope to be sane again soon. :)
