Last night we went to Belmont's parents' house for dinner and to work on a few wedding chores. We needed to print off the kids' bulletins & maps to the reception, attempt to print the programs, and scan some pictures of his childhood into my computer for the rehearsal dinner slideshow. As we were in search of his school pictures from grade school, his mom summoned us down to the basement where the memory boxes are kept and we uncovered quite a few darling pictures of him. We also found some hilarious letters that he had written in elementary school from camp. Apparently Jennifer (his older sister) had loved this camp and he went later... much to his dismay! He wrote letters about how he was crying every day and how he was sitting in his cabin crying as he wrote the letter. His cabin was a "dump" and his friends were no good either. We were dying laughing at his melodramatic way of phrasing his torturous weeks at camp. He even had it written on his own personalized stationery! I think I need to copy those letters. :)
Sadly, we also found LOVE letters written to (and from) his grade school girlfriend, Molly!! She wrote about all the things she loved about him. Included in the list (I kid you not) was the fact that he was very wonderful and "boyfriendy." It is a new word. If I knew what that meant, I could attest as to whether or not he is still boyfriendy in his old age. But, alas, Mr. Webster and I are at a loss as to the definition of that word. :)
Below you will find some adorable pictures of Andrew from his childhood. He was so incredibly tan! It is hilarious to see us in the slideshow-- I have put a few of our school pictures side by side as we progress in age. We look like we are from different races. He is marrying quite a ghost. :)
Little Belmont, in junior kindergarten...I think his mother mentioned something about him
cutting his own hair before this picture was taken.
Can we talk about how adorable our kids aregoing to be??! What a doll!!! I love this picture!
With his grandmother at his birthday party. He has a Teddy Ruxpin doll in his hands!
Dusty had one of those, too.
Guess that was a thing for people born in '83.
My sweet little Indian. I saw him in action in thiscostume in a home video we found! Sooo cute.
A family picture taken by the photographer whowill be photographing our wedding! Very special.
We cannot believe that there are only 10 days left until our wedding. We were talking tonight about how you never really think about your wedding day actually happening. It is always in your mind in the future. We are both a little nervous that we will be terrible at marriage, but I don't see how that is even plausible in his case. He is such a sweetheart. Anyway, God is growing us both into His image. I have to remind myself of that!
Please keep us in your prayers as the big day approaches! I have a hair trial with Lauren tomorrow afternoon. Belmont thought he got to see my hair after it was done, but that is not an option. All secrets until the 6th. Tomorrow the checklist continues...
