I am sitting in my classroom on my lunch break. Just had some delicious leftovers from Belmont's birthday party this weekend! (I know, I know... I need to post pictures from his birthday! My camera is at home, but I will do that soon.) I am about to create a new bulletin board that displays (as we learn them) all the things that God created day-by-day. We are just now finishing up with our "light" and "darkness" unit and I think they have learned quite a bit of Spanish so far! One of the 6th grade classes today asked if I could give them a Spanish version of their English Bible verses for chapel. (They have a memory verse for chapel to memorize each week for part of their Bible class. They want to add the Spanish version!) I'm glad they seem to be liking it so far.
While I was eating lunch, I have been listening to my "Indelible Grace" station on Pandora. A song by Nicole Nordeman came on that I love. I wanted to share it with you as the song of the day:
You are Good
(Nicole Nordeman)
When the sun starts to rise
And I open my eyes
You are good, so good.
In the heat of the day
With each stone that I lay
You are good, so good.
With every breath I take in,
I'll tell you I'm grateful again.
When the moon climbs high
Before each kiss goodnight
You are good.
When the road starts to turn
Around each bend, I've learned
You are good, so good.
And when somebody's hand
Holds me up, helps me stand,
You are so good.
With every breath I take in,
I'll tell You I'm grateful again.
'Cause its more than enough
Just to know I am loved
And You are good.
So how can I thank You?
What can I bring?
What can these poor hands
Lay at the feet of a King?
I'll sing You a love song
With all that I have
To tell You I'm grateful
For holding my life in Your hands.
When it's dark and it's cold
And I can't feel my soul
You are so good.
When the world has gone grey
And the rain's here to stay
You are still good.
So with every breath I take in
I'll tell You I am grateful again.
And the storm may swell
Even then, it is well and You are good.
So how can I thank You?
What can I bring?
What can these poor hands
Lay at the feet of a King?
I'll sing You this love song
With all that I have
To tell You I'm grateful
For holding my life in Your hands.
You are holding my life in Your hands.
